What is the Best Domain Name You Have Hand Registered in the Last Year?
I always love hearing stories about people who have hand registered domain names years and years ago and now they are worth big bucks. However motivating it is, I sometimes get tempted to say that there are no great domain names available to hand register anymore (especially .com’s).
However, this is definitely not the case. Let me tell you about probably the best domain name that I have hand registered in the last year and then you can tell me yours.
Here is the best domain name that I have hand registered in the last year or so and a short back story on how I found it:
Marinater.com/Marinaters.com – I hand registered both of these fairly recently and found both the plural version in our keyword domain repository. I was also very pleased to see that after checking with our instant domain search tool that the singular was available as well. I am currently redirecting the singular to the plural and I have recently developed the domain by paying Site Graduate to build out a mini site and then I have added some small things here and there to further monetize the website.
The keyword “marinater” gets 260 exact match monthly average Google searches and has a CPC of $1.44 so all in all a great one word domain name.

I found the singular version of this domain using our soon to be released dictionary domain tool (members have access to this tool already via our beta domain dashboard but the tool is not yet publicly available for use). Best domain hand-registered in the last year would be either BrowserBasedRpg.com, with 2900 searches/month or SleepwearWomen.com, which has 3600 searches/month and $1.10 CPC.

Just wanted to throw in that i’ve had a few bits of luck hand registering domains and then flipping them…
Not so long ago i registered the name uniflirt.com and 2flirt.com for $7.95 at godaddy…
i later sold them for around $1000usd each.
My latest hand registrations are http://www.mensbalance.com and childweightmanagement.com
i also managed to get http://www.longer.com.au
Not gems by any means, but still there are a few out there…hiding in the shadows

I find your tool really awsome. I’ve mostely registered cc-TLD domains so far and even though I’m late in the game I’ve hand registered many great domains which Im currently developing. Using your tool I’ve hand registered (so far)
immunesystemvitamins(dot)com – basic landing page so far (1st Adsense click yesterday)
donatingclothes(dot)com – basic landing page so far, just starting to rank in Google
These two domains have search traffic and decent. I’m going to develop them during the upcoming month.
I have a long list of domains I wanna register and develop, time is against med though.
Got 500 cc-TLD’s to develop first.

There are lots of excellent domains available still to register…
I set up a site ages ago that listed lots of names for Free.
In the past year I have bought 200+ RegFeeNames and have minisites developed and most make over $1 per day.

I hand registered OnlineReputationAgency.com, with the growth of online reputation management, I think this one will be nice investment for the next few years. Also Reg’d IFAbirmingham.com the term “IFA Birmingham” is searched 110 per month in the UK which is nice because I am own a mortgage business in Birmingham, UK.
